Rakovník (Czech pronunciation: [ˈrakovɲiːk]; German: Rakonitz) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. The town is located on the stream Rakovnický potok in the Rakovník Uplands. It is an industrial town that grew mainly in the 20th century.
