Medovik (Russian: медови́к [mʲɪdɐˈvʲik]; from мёд, 'honey', Ukrainian: медовик [medovyk], Belarusian: мядовік [miadovyk]) is a layer cake popular in countries of the former Soviet Union. The identifying ingredients are honey and smetana (sour cream) or condensed milk.
