Oldenburg (German pronunciation: [ˈɔldn̩bʊʁk] ; Northern Low Saxon: Ollnborg) is an independent city in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. The city is officially named Oldenburg (Oldb) (Oldenburg in Oldenburg) to distinguish it from Oldenburg in Holstein.
