The lowland nyala or simply nyala (Tragelaphus angasii) is a spiral-horned artiodactyl antelope native to Southern Africa. The species is part of the family Bovidae and the genus Tragelaphus (formerly placed in the genus Nyala, now regarded as a subgenus).
