Nastaliq is one of the main calligraphic hands used to write the Persian and sometimes Arabic scripts, and is used for several significant Indo-Iranian languages, predominantly Persian, Urdu, Kurdish, Pashto, Balochi, Punjabi (in Pakistan), Kashmiri and Saraiki.
