A nahiyah or nahiya (Arabic: نَاحِيَة, romanized: nāḥiya [ˈnaːħija], plural نَوَاحِي, nawāḥī [naˈwaːħiː]), also spelled nahia, nahiyeh or nahiye, is a regional or local type of administrative division that usually consists of a number of villages or sometimes smaller towns.
